Many of us struggle with the hair related problems like hair fall, thinning of hair and balding due to our latest lifestyles, stress, food habits, chronic ailments like typhoid fever, presence of dandruff or lice and hormonal imbalance, genes, medication, chemical medication, anemia, injury, aging, also cause hair loss.

We all are eager how it is even possible to at least minimize it.

Tips To keep the hair healthy and Prevent Excessive Hair Loss

Locate the root cause in diet or lifestyle that may be increasing the Pitta dosha. Give up or at least reduce the diets, habit, or activities responsible for increasing Pitta.

Have a healthy and controlledbalanced food habits. The diet should contain more green leafy vegetables, salads, fruits and sprouts, Vitamin A, milk, buttermilk, yeast, wheat germ, soybean, etc.

Ensure to have enough rest. Regular exercises are very beneficial as it helps in balancing the aggravated doshas.

Natural hair products high in natural oils are essential to enabling the hair to retain moisture and produce growth.

Certain pharmaceutical treatment is available, even without a prescription and has been shown to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss but only in a small percentage of people.

Though it is not possible to guarantee hair loss prevention since it is a natural byproduct of aging. These tips will offer yourself a much better chance of avoiding any type of excessive hair loss in the future.

I take biotin (a whopping dose too 2500-5000 mg/day) which is good for hair, skin and nails. I also take a multi-vitamin with extra E. I use Nioxin (shampoo and cond.) for thinning hair when it gets bad. Expensive, but I don’t use it often. Use volumizing shampoos (Aveda is great and made from plants) which plumps up the hair that you do have.
